Evangelical - to be committed to the Gospel, to base everything we do on Scripture.

Evangelistic - to proclaim His Gospel, and to declare His glory.

Student-initiated - responsibility as evangelists to students and leadership of the ministry falls primarily on the shoulders of students ourselves.

Church-oriented - for VCF does not seek to replace the local church, but exists as a para-church organisation which trains undergraduates in student ministry to benefit the local churches in return.

Inter-denominational - being para-church, VCF recognises the universal church of believers as the body of Christ.

Missions awareness - seeing the bigger picture of the church, we are also to be exposed to the people’s need for God all aroud the world.
