This year, Science Comm has prayed and decided that our direction for this year is Prayer and Building Relationships...

Prayer is the foundation of all that we do :) In praying, we seek God and try to align our hearts with Him, to care for the things He cares about and to lift up our situations and cares to Him...

We also seek to build deep and serious relationships... First is a relationship with God, for without God, all that we do is nothing. So we hope to encourage everyone to dig deep into the Bible and meet this God who cares so much about us. We also encourage you to go for Fellowship Teachings (FT) and annTIC camp to learn more about God and who He is... Relationships with each other is also a priority as we are on campus by divine appointment... so we wish to support one another and to encourage each other to walk our talk and to talk our walk :)

We meet up for Contact Groups (CGs) weekly to study the Bible together and to support each other...

We meet daily to pray during our lunchtime, to lift up issues to God’s hands and to pray for others...

Once a month, on the last friday, a group of us will be meeting to pray, typically on the 2nd floor above LT24...

Science VCF will also be organising a Chinese New Year Dinner, in partnership with International Friendship Group and Prince George Park’s Residence CF :) We hope to bless the international students and to reach out to them, in this festive season where many of us locals have celebrations going on but the international students might not... it will be held on the 5th of February and do contact Becky @ iambeckyboo@gmail.com or Si En at sien_mordaunt@hotmail.com for more details!

Other than this, there will be random events coming along, like Games Days, outings and Faculty Gatherings... One such example will be the upcoming Science Medicine Games Day on the 12th of February, just after the CNY break! Do come down and join us for an evening of games, fellowship and prayer... :)

Of course, the above doesn’t really explain what we DO, it only shows the events... What we DO is care for each other in the context of science and strive to care for others as God cares for us... So to understand what we do, join us :)

We meet for CG on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday... Meet at the Pink Tables (near Dilys’ and Megabyte cafe near S16) 6pm for dinner! If you’re on a diet, the join us a little before 7pm before we set out to hunt for a spot to have CG! :)
