The challenges of university life are real. Heavy workloads, numerous assignments and projects, difficult engineering modules – these are but some of the things we constantly face. When these compete with God for our time, effort and attention, we may find ourselves slowly drifting away from Him. There is a real danger that our studies and a pursuit of academic success can become the counterfeit god in our lives. Here at Engineering CF, we acknowledge these issues, and remind/encourage one another to let God be the focus of our lives and to maintain a close relationship with Him. This does not mean that we neglect our studies. We are called to live out our faith on campus, and that involves being a good steward of the ability God has blessed us with to study. No doubt this is a daunting task, and we will struggle along the way. But we believe that through the love and encouragement of fellow Christian students, our conduct might adorn the Gospel we preach (Titus 2:10).

Engineering CF seeks to bring together like-minded Christian students, in our hope that we may form a warm, close-knit and united Christian Community, understanding every individual’s struggles and supporting each other along the way (Hebrews 10:24-25). To do that, we meet weekly in PLUMB (Pray for, Love and Understand My Buddy) groups, to encourage each other and pray.

Engineering CF recognizes the centrality of God’s Word in our lives and ministry. We want to be rigorous in our study of His Word, and that includes training our members to be able to study His Word for themselves. We strongly believe in the life-transforming power of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

We recognize that in Engineering Faculty, there is a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and religions. Moreover, there are many among us who have not heard the Gospel. They may be our friends, course mates or someone whom we don’t know. Nevertheless, we realize the importance of reaching out to them. We want to share the love of God with them, just as we have experienced His love for ourselves. Therefore Engineering CF seeks to equip our members to be passionate about sharing the Gospel.

In all these, we hope that our belief in Christ, obedience to His Word, dependence on Him in prayer, and edifying of each other may result in Christ glorified and made known.

Engineering CF Welcome Tea
Our Welcome Tea will be held on 16th August 2011, at 6pm outside LT6. We would love to have you with us as we have a time of corporate worship, share about our ministry, and look at God’s Word. Moreover, it will be a good time for you to get to know us (and vice versa), and to ask any burning questions you may have about our ministry.

Our Contact Groups
We meet weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays for a time of worship, studying of the Word, sharing and prayer. We usually meet for dinner at 6pm at the top level of the Engineering Canteen before proceeding to have our CGs. CGs normally last around 2 hours. Location might vary.
