Mooncake/Deepavali gathering
1. International Students Cafe is on hold this and next wednesday in view of mid-sem exam and elearning week. Will resume next nextWed, 14 Oct evening. it'll be a Mooncake/Deepavali gathering. We'll appreciate if anyone has uneaten mooncakes or indian snacks to contribute here!
2. Some cfers have decided to open up their homes hosting int'l friends for a meal! thank God :) pray for good first meetings and wonderful time they'll spend together. If anybody is inspired and interested to do this also, email me please! limhong12@gmail.com even if cannot open home, it's not the end of the world. Love Reaches Out (a movement bringing together int'l students and cfers) is on a roll and activities are not restricted to home visit (even though out int'l friends really appreciate it, a sense of family and home in a foreign land!). just a simple willingness to care and to show hospitality makes all that difference..
